Another fun cooking segment with Tra'Renee last Thursday! Enjoy replicating this simple Chocolate Pecan Pie to share at Thanksgiving!
Makes 1 - 9" pie
4 large eggs
1-1/4 cups light corn syrup
1/3 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tablespoon All-Purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons pure Vanilla extract
1-1/4 cups chopped or halved pecans
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
1-9" deep dish pie crust, unbaked
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In large bowl beat eggs until blended. Mix in brown sugar, corn syrup, flour and vanilla until combined. Stir in pecans, chocolate chips and melted butter. Pour into pie crust.
Bake 50-55 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool completely on wire rack before serving.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
